Today Aiden had me picking baby apples from our apple tree. He wanted to plant them in some water and put them in the sun so they would grow. Being the wise father that I am I informed Aiden that the apples would not grow in the sun, but that we needed to leave them on the tree if we wanted to let them grow. Well…he had to ask “Why”.
”Why do the apples only grow on the trees, dad…and what makes them red?”
Well, quickly remembering my homeschool education I decided to avoid answering that question. Instead I told him we should take a picture of the apple every week and watch how it grows. It worked. And now you get to track the growth of Aiden’s apple with us:

How cute is it that our kids are growing up? Will was playing play-doh with Jasmine this weekend and he stood up in a chair, threw his hands up and yelled “Now, DON’T MIX IT” at her. Kids…
