Brady asked why there were no “stories” of him on the bolg today, so I thought I would add one. Brady and I spend a lot of time together these days…since Aiden & Kendall are in school all day from 9-3.  there is a family joke that me and Brady are best friends.  We just might be.

Brady is really so funny and he amazes me and Johnpaul with how smart he is, REALLY it’s pretty impressive! His hand writing is already better than both Aiden and Kendall, in fact it’s a little creepy. There is one thing Brady is not good at. That is dinner. This kid will sit at the table literally for hours. He never likes what I make and he will not even try it…he has gone to bed early, gone to the corner, been grounded from video games and many other punishments. Nothing works. The other day I was sitting with him trying to get him to eat and I said,” just put it in your mouth and open & shut a few times then swallow.”  So he very dramatically did this holding his head with his hands like he was forcing himself to open and shut. This kid is a funny one…

Brady is also really creative and he is obsessed with ”I spy” books…so the other day we set up a real life I Spy for the whole family to do that night.  He LOVED it!  It was pretty fun!

Kendall Beautiful

These days the kids are always fighting me when I want to take their picture…so I only got one shot at this.  Kendall looked so cute yesterday I just had to get it. I love all my kids and there is something special about having a little girl. So cute, so sweet.

Aiden and Kendall go to a wonderful school. I just love the projects they get to do there. The kids also love them and they both adore their teachers! We just had a culmination for both classes and I wanted to share their work.

Kendall’s class was doing a Unit on mapping. They did lots of work around the idea of mapping, but by far my favorite thing was that they built a 3D Portland! It was so amazing! They each created their own house and a landmark near their house. Then they made downtown, and then they made all of Portland’s great Bridges! It was beautiful!

Aiden’s class was doing a Unit on NW Forests. They had characters, and they also built a whole new sub development, that had lots going on and lots to learn with in this idea. They had lots of problems they had to solve…where do all the animals go, pollution problems, talking with an actual builder, and lots, lots more. The part I loved the most, was they each had an animal they did research on. A’s animal was the Saw Whet Owl. It was cute to see all he learned. They even got to dissect owl pellets, a very exciting day for the second graders!! One of the best parts was when Aiden got up in front of everyone and read his Saw Whet Poem! I was proud!

I LOVE being able to send my kids to a school that makes learning so hands on and SO exciting! They really have had a wonderful experience there. They’ve made great friends and have become really great little people over the last few years!

Aiden wanted me to Blog about his awsome Lego plane so I said I would. The kids LOVE building Legos! We have a huge table in the boys room that they are always making Lego city’s on.

I’m blogging again :)!

I’ve decided to start blogging again. We will see how that goes :) .

Part of my inspiration was my amazingly talented artist daughter. Kendall and I read a book about making a family tree. She was very inspired to create her own and I think it is amazing! She was also very excited because her class was doing   a unit on mapping. Our book reminded her of this mapping unit and that a family tree is kind of like a map of your family! I loved it! Take a look for yourself!

I took the kids fishing with Dan this last week. It was Brady’s first fishing trip ever (he had been complaining to Tanell that I have never taken him) and although it looked to me like he had fun, he says he didn’t…”We didn’t catch any fish”. I tried telling him “Get used to disappointment” but he wouldn’t hear it.

And the fish you see Aiden holding…was dead when we got there. We can only catch the already caught ones.

Still…it was a great time.
