I had the extreme pleasure of taking photos of the beautiful Anderson family. Brandyn would not stop posing for me (which I loved) and Dave did a great job too. It was 100 degrees outside and neither one of them complained once. My favorite part was listening to Jenny call Dave, “Super Dave” and then eventually shortening that to just “Super”. I’m not sure how thats going to go over when he’s 15 but for now its sweet.

All in all it was a great time.

Jesse and Andrea recently got engaged and while at the beach last weekend I got to take some pictures of them…Awkward.

Actually we had a good time and I think the pictures turned out nice…which is what’s really important.

Last Saturday I had the opportunity to hang out with Joel, Betsy, and the kids and take a few pictures. We had a good time running around the Washington Park Rose Garden… it sure was hard keeping up with Olivia, that little girl can move. I tried to get pictures of the whole family together but both Joel and Betsy said they didn’t want to be in the pictures and neither William or Hunter wanted to hold Oliva so that made things difficult…the pictures turned out great anyway.

Sharon…Jenny…your families are next.

Philip April 23, 2008

On April 3, I lost a friend. Philip was my brother’s best friend all growing up. It’s hard to  think of growing up in Lake Tahoe and not think of him. I wanted to share some pictures of him and say that he will be missed.

This is one of Philip’s Poems….

You search, you look, you try, you ponder;

You think, you ask, you read, you wonder;

Look left, look right, look up, look under;

The answer comes when you stop.

March…without the madness April 3, 2008

dsc_0848.jpgWow, spring brake just ended!! I really love having Aiden home with us, but I am also so thankful for school!!

 I was really looking forward to a week of sleeping in, doing a lot of stuff around the house, and spending lots of time with the kids. Basically none of that happened besides the spending lots of time with the kids! The kids had a few things they wanted to do….topping the list were going to see Horton hears a who, (we did it was cute), and going to the BIG burger king, (which we also did).  We also went swimming at Mt. Scott pool. It was a blast Kendall and Aiden are so brave in the water, It’s a little stressful for me, but they do great!! This was Brady, (o.k. mine too, I’m not a big swimmer), but this was our first time getting in this pool. Brady was so funny he had a huge grin on his face the whole time! I think both because it was fun but also because he was a little nerves! They have a huge slide that we all went down. Aiden made the mistake of wanting to go down with me, and since I tend to be a little nervous in  the water I held on to Aiden at the end of the slide when I should have let go and he went under with me. When we got over to Kendall he said, “Kendall mom just tried to droned me!” Oops!

We also had friends over, went to OMSI, and the Zoo (with uncle Dan and Marissa) , and we went to thedsc_0325.jpgTillomook Cheese factory. dsc_0311.jpgIt was a good week! I’m really glad to be getting back to a more structured way of life though!!

We had a fun Easter. This year Johnpaul decided to do the Morton tradition of making a tomb in the house. He sure did and he read the story to the kidscsc_0792.jpg and on good Friday they put Jesusdsc_0778.jpg (represented by a Cross) dsc_0784.jpgin the tomb. It all stayed there until Sunday when the kids got up and the tomb was empty!! Good times the kids spent most of the time trying to get Jax (our cat) out of the tomb. So, when Brady’s Grandpa asked Brady “what was in the tomb this morning”, Brady said, “Jax was!”

I’m really looking forward to spring and so are the kids. It is officially already spring, but it doesn’t feel like it here. It’s been cold and actually snowing in some places!
